Fall Semester Planning
Fall semester classes will start as planned on Monday, August 24. The last day of Fall semester classes will be held on Wednesday, December 2. Final exams will be held on December 3, 4, 7 and 8. Please note all activities occurring after Thanksgiving break will be online.
2020欧洲杯直播投注Reading Days on October 12-13 will be used as regular instruction days. The university will observe Labor Day (September 7) and Veterans Day (November 11), and no classes will be held on either holiday.
Teaching and learning will include in-person, online and hybrid options. These modalities are currently being developed in ways that will meet student learning outcomes and maintain the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.
Co-ops, Internships, Service Learning
Co-op, internships and service learning will be available. Students can pursue in-person placements, though please note that in-person placements are subject to change based on evolving public health conditions. Remote options will remain acceptable alternatives for the fall semester.
December 2020 Commencement Ceremony
The format for how our December 2020 Commencement will occur has yet to be determined.
Housing and Dining
University Housing and our mix of accommodations will be open during Fall semester.
All housing, dining and recreational facilities have undergone a deep cleaning. Additionally, our continuing cleaning procedures have been expanded and will remain in effect throughout the semester.
Dining procedures have been adjusted to accommodate socially distant dine-in activities as well as expanded take-out options.
2020欧洲杯直播投注All students, with a completed housing application, who want to live within the University Housing portfolio can be accommodated; however, for our students and their families, we understand that some have concerns about living away from home during these unprecedented times and require flexibility.
We will work with you to find the best solution to fit your needs for a successful living and learning experience. Options are being developed that range from modified assignments up to relaxing the housing requirement for first-year students. If you have any concerns, we encourage you to reach out to the University Housing team prior to July 15. Contact options are email at email@example.com or phone at 513-556-6461.
2020欧洲杯直播投注Final details on the assignment process will be available late June, with subsequent room-selection occurring in July. Please monitor the University Housing website and check your UC issued email for updates.
Please note that for anyone who has not yet completed a UC Housing application, the university is moving to a wait list for future housing applicants. Those on the wait list will be offered UC Housing accommodations if rooms become available.
The Bearcat transportation shuttles will operate to safely transport students, faculty and staff around campus. We will follow the CDC guidelines with respect to public transportation. Enhanced cleaning procedures have been implemented, with drivers frequently disinfecting high-touch areas when traveling along the routes and deeper cleaning performed after hours.
As part of our multi-phase approach to returning to campus, plans are being finalized to enable student-athletes to safely resume practices and competition.
This includes a phased reopening of the Richard E. Lindner Athletics Center as well as other facilities in Varsity Village. Final plans for all sports will be subject to decisions made by Athletics medical staff, university administration, state and local authorities, the American Athletic Conference and NCAA.
Director of Athletics John Cunningham will have the department ready for any scenario: “We haven’t made any final decisions regarding the 2020 fall sports season, but we are planning on our student-athletes, coaches and staff coming back. We are excited for the season and ready to remain flexible in the coming months.”
